This week is going by fast! It's Wednesday already!
And, of course, it's a short (work) week due to the coming of EASTER! At least it is for me, Government Employee Library Worker Extraordinaire.
I don't know if you recall, but the last 2 years, we have awakened to see the Easter Bunny in our yard on Easter Morning
For those of you who are new to Zoe's and my blog, let us take a moment to hearken back to Easters Past.
Let us revisit Easter, two years ago....
The first Easter Morning that we noticed the famous E.B., He or She (because, doesn't E.B. transcend gender bounds?) was rolling around in our asparagus bed.
That's right. Rolling around.
I woke up that morning, looked out the window, and there was the Easter Bunny, rolling around with wild abandon. Then, E.B. stretched waaaaaaaaay out, from Bunny Fingers to Bunny Toes, yawned a HUGE yawn, and then stayed there in the position we at the Lilypad call, "The Cleopatra Position." Observe:
(Note: The Rabbit in the Above Photos is not the Actual Easter Bunny. This is a Re Enactment. Any resemblance to the Actual Easter Bunny is Purely Co-incidental. The Above Rabbit would like to keep Her Identity a Secret.)
The second year we saw the Easter Bunny, the Springtime Icon was frolicking in the front yard. Of course, we knew who it was when on Easter Morning, we looked out and saw...
Of course, we here in the Rabbit Room wonder what this coming Sunday will bring.
Tune in on Easter Sunday for a Special Report from Zoe and Blueberry!
Live from the Lilypad!!!
What about all you out there, faithful readers and Rabbit Supporters.
Any E.B. sightings to report?

Rabbit and Rabbit, Inc
How was your weekend?
Ours was delightful.
Soon, I will post all my pictures for the upcoming Arts n Drafts Event here in good ol' Erie, PA. That's mainly what we worked on this weekend, the Rabbits and I.
And, we know it's not Flip Friday, but we're thinking it could be Monday Movies, because this is the thing that went on here this weekend:
And you know what? That's really what we have to offer until we have art to show. And that will be a couple of days.
So, though I know that viewing Cute Rabbits Eating Salad is like TORTURE to you, you'll have to deal with it.
I'm sorry. But there it is.
Try to cope.
OK?
Please.
Anything else would be Un-Rabbity.

Flip Friday
Last week, of course, the Rabbit Movie did not appear on Friday.
We got behind in our tasks and just never seemed to make up the time.
Strangely enough, the same thing almost happened again this week. Only, it didn't, obviously because here you are reading this, and below these words is....
Zoe played this role expertly. You might even believe She really is annoyed with Her Mini Cat (though how could that be possible???)
Blueberry played Her role with a little less intensity than Zoe, not because She is any less intense, mind you (She is actually a somewhat Serious Rabbit), but because She is not used to acting yet and is still a tad bit camera shy.
Of course the Mini Cat, like so many Hollywood Actors, simply plays himself. And, we like him that way.
So, without any further chit chat, please enjoy today's movie, won't you?
Have a Great Weekend!!!

A Few Words About Bunny Hypnosis From...Miss Zoe
Hello.
Zoe, here. That's right-- THE Miss Zoe.
I have a few things to say about the phenomenon of Bunny Hypnosis.
After Monday's post, in which (random human things happened and) a Bunny Got Hypnotized, there were a few comments about Hypnosis relating to Yours Truly.
That's right. I mean, Myself. Herself. The Zoe.
Be that as it may, I wanted to point out that I do not believe in Bunny Hypnosis.
Sure, it is all well and good for.... some bunnies....but let me assure you, in a house where things such as these exist (see below)...
...a Bunny must be Vigilant.
A Bunny must never be Caught Unawares.
It is completely Un-Bunny like to be anything but vigilant. It goes against the Bunny Constitution. It goes against the very fabric of the Bunny Way of Life.
Let me offer this example. Due to the Mini Cat still being Mini, my human caretakers have constructed a gating system to Keep Him OUT! Oh, it's true that at times he is unobtrusive, but those times are few and far between.
Even a complex gating system, however, does not keep Certain Animals from entering the room. I can be leisurely enjoying my salad, minding my Own Business, when suddenly, the gap between the top gate and the top of the doorway goes from looking like this:
to looking like this!
There is also this little problem:
Mini Cat from marcy hall on Vimeo.
So, for the record, I will not be participating in ANY SORT of hypnosis or any kind of trance or whatever they are calling it these days.
I just won't be. You can say I'm "not fun." You can even say I'm "boring."
Whatevs.
You won't see me being hypnotized anytime soon.
Nope.
You won't.
This is as close as you're going to get.

News From the Weekend, In Which We Danced, I Painted, and We Learned that Miss Blueberry Can Be Hypnotized
Did you have an exciting weekend?
As you can tell from the title of today's post, We DID!
Exciting, that is if you like Dancing, Painting....and Hypnotizing Bunnies.
All of which I enjoy.
Now, you know I'm not much of a dancer. I've discussed that before. The fact that I can move my hips at all is miraculous, let alone the fact that I can move my ribs rather independently of my hips (when, and if, I really concentrate).
And, now, I have officially done those things and more in front of (or more accurately, in back of, since I was the DJ and had to stand in the back of the room by the CD player) a room full of people in the Chick's YogaDance class!! It was amazingly FUN!!!!
So, that was the dancing part.
As for the painting part, I worked on more beer portraits. Truth be told, they are not all beer portraits. Some of them are other things.
The following paintings are not at all finished, but it will give you the idea:
And, finally the last part, which was the part in which we learn that Miss Blueberry can be hypnotized.
Are you wondering what that means? In case you're wondering, here is an instructional video that explains and demonstrates the process of Bunny Hypnotizing:
And that's what we did with Blueberry.
We started like this:
And then moved on to this:
Wait-- what's wrong? Did we hypnotize you, too?
Oops, sorry. I'm sure you'll wake up in time for the Important Stuff.

Cinematic Saturday
A Note From Miss Zoe:
Dear Faithful Readers and Devotees of My Fabulous Films,
I want to apologize for the actions of a certain human living here in this house, who couldn't seem to get herself together enough to produce a Rabbit Movie on the Proper Day of the Week. We, here at Miss Zoe Presents, know how much these movies mean to you. And they should mean a lot to you, after all, because they star....ME!
I would like to thank the Chihuahuas of America for Rabbits for their support in the making of the following film.
As always, thank you for adoring me. It is founded adoration, I assure you.
Also, we would like to dedicate this film to my Rabbit Friend Derby, who had surgery this week. He is doing well, and all of us in the Lilypad are sending him our best wishes. Please do the same. If you know what is good for you. And since you are here to view the Rabbit Movie, you must know what is Good for You.
Sincerely,
Miss Zoe, Rabbit Extraordonaire!!
ENJOY!!!

Stupid Humans Mess Up Again
I know. It seems....impossible.
There is no Flip Friday.
NO FLIP FRIDAY!
This week, we are going to have a Flip Saturday.
A.K.A. Cinematic Saturday.
That's because, by the time this human got home on Thursday evening, it was too dark to make a good Rabbit Movie. And we all know that the Important Thing about Rabbit Movies, is that they be Good.
Good. That is the Important Factor.
We also know, of course, that Rabbits cannot be expected to film their own cuteness.
But seriously. Can you believe it?
So, here's a picture of Miss Zoe:
Make up a caption for this photo!!
It should distract you until tomorrow.
OK???
OK!!
Have a good day, and we shall see you tomorrow!!!

Rabbits and Cats Discuss the Seasons
Blueberry is right! Spring is on the way. Only a few more days until Spring is Officially Here. Here in the Rabbit Room, we like to think of Spring as Rabbit Season.
RABBIT SEASON!!!!
What could be better?
Toby, the mini-cat (who really isn't so mini anymore as some people have very rightfully pointed out) would like to think that Cat Season is better.
I know. Better than Rabbit Season? Well, he's a baby. Cut him some slack.
"When is the Official Cat Season?" he asked Blueberry and Zoe yesterday as he climbed his way over the Rabbit Gate to curl up in the Rabbit Toys and pretend to blend in (side note: video of Toby the mini-cat climbing in and out of the Rabbit Room to come soon!).
Blueberry moved her whiskers from side to side quickly.
"Cat Season??" She said aloud with a laugh. "That's preposterous! There's no such thing as Cat Season!" She turned to Zoe for confirmation.
OK, well, I guess you heard it-- right from the Rabbit's Mouth!
Sorry, Mini-Cat. You are cute, though, and that is some consolation. Every Season is Cute Season!
Zoe also wants you to know that the Winner of the Eat Like Rabbit Contest will be announced on Wednesday!! So stay tuned for that. We were waiting for one last entry, if you recall, but that didn't work out, which is too bad, because it was a Very Good Entry.
Our apologies to Stevie, the Guinea Pig, who couldn't enter due to Technical Difficulties.
(Well, at least it wasn't due to steroid use!!!)
Have a wonderful Monday!!!

Flip Friday!
Can you believe it is time for movies again?
Every week, it's the same story with me. I can't believe it is already Friday and already time for MORE MOVIES!!
This week, we have a Triple Feature for you. There has been so much going on that Zoe and I just couldn't decide what movie we wanted to feature. So, we're just going to give you all three!
The first is a Cat Movie. Zoe wasn't thrilled to produce and post a Cat Movie, but the Cats do a lot of Cute Stuff that the world doesn't get to see because a Certain Rabbit usually likes to disallow the Cat Movies.
In this movie, you will see the Mini-Cat, Toby playing in his favorite new toy, Shoebox. Along comes Miss Lilly to join in the fun:
This second movie was taken at Presque Isle State Park, just a couple of miles from the Lilypad. You've seen movies of the Isle in the Summer, so here it is in the Winter! (It's the same only snowier!!)
The third movie goes without saying (it's a Rabbit Movie). Well, you can't have Two Adorable Bunnies on your house and not be making constant videos of them. The chick said to me the other day, "Maybe you should install a Rabbit Cam in the Rabbit Room to record all the Rabbit Excitement."
What do you think? Should we get a Rabbit Cam?
In the meantime, here's today's last feature starring Zoe and Blueberry:

A Two Rabbit Report
Before I begin, I want you to know that we have not forgotten about the Eat Like A Rabbit Contest. Not in the least.
We know those of of you who entered are anxious.
The hold up is a movie that was entered that won't load for some reason, or can't be shared, or some such. The long and the short of it is that we are having Technical Difficulties. But we will figure it out. And, it will be worth it. It's another great entry.
In the meantime, while you're waiting, we thought you might like a Rabbit Update.
As you know, we are watching Miss Blueberry. Though she and Miss Zoe coexist, I am operating under the following theory: I am not sure that They Believe in One Another.
Blueberry loves to be free range in Miss Zoe's room. The Girls spend a lot of their time on opposite ends of the room. Miss Zoe will go about Some Business under the chair, and Miss Blueberry will check out the Chalet. Then, Zoe will decide She wants the Chalet back and as She hops in that direction, Blueberry takes up residence under the chair.
Pretty funny.
One thing They can agree on is that Cats Annoy Them. They will tolerate them as long as they come in and jump into the window or sit quietly. But the second a cat looks crosswise at a Rabbit, BAM! They get a sharp bite in the butt or a nip on the tail.
They may not believe in One Another, but They can still present a United Front Against Cats.
As for the cats, they just sit outside the Rabbit Room waiting to be let in. Or, they climb in on their own, up and over the Rabbit Gate.
Right now, as I write this, there is a bit of a struggle going on over the Grass Ball Filled With Hay. This is a HOT COMMODITY!!!
Life with Two Rabbits is delightful.
What is delightful in your life today?

Birthday Weekend
It was a great weekend here at the Lilypad. Since Zoe and I both celebrated birthdays, it was just one bit of excitement after another.
Zoe did Special Things: She sat in Her Chalet, She ate lots of Yummy Salad, She laid around in the Beautiful Sunshine, She played with her new friend, Miss Blueberry. She ate a Willow Ball.
Wait. That sounds pretty much like what She does everyday!
Strangely enough (or, maybe not strangely at all), I had the same experience as Miss Zoe.
No, I don't mean that I ate a Willow Ball.
What I mean is, that as the Chick and I were sitting at lunch on Saturday discussing what we might like to do, since we had rented a car for a couple of days and could do whatever we wanted with no thoughts of how we would get there or how we would get home, I said to her, "You know, the thing is that it's hard to come up with something to do that is really special in a different way. We do special things ALL THE TIME! We have fun ALL THE TIME! What can we possibly do that will top what we do on a regular basis?"
I might not have said those exact words, but I did relay that sentiment.
What a wonderful thing to realize. That Everyday is Already Special. That Special is not reserved for certain days or certain times of the year. In our life here at the Lilypad, Everyday is just FUN!
On a regular basis, we spend time with Good Friends. We go to Live Music, which we love. We eat Delicious Food. We spend time with Each Other and (usually) Delightful Companion Animals.
Everyday is a Celebration of Life.
OK, once in while it doesn't feel that way. Once in awhile the Chick is grouchy (I am never grouchy, of course), or I am stressed about work, or one of us feels down or sad. But these days are few, and they actually get rarer and rarer all the time.
What a great Birthday Present it was to have that realization!
What's on Your Birthday List this year?
Will it include Realizations or Willow Balls?
Well, technically either one is probably good, depending on who you are, right?
Right.

Flip Friday with Blueberry on Top!
TODAY IS ZOE'S BIRTHDAY!!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ZOE!!!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ZOE!!!!!
It's also my birthday. Totally inconsequential after that last announcement, I know. That's more of an FYI.
Also, FYI, today is the final day for entries int he Eat Like a Rabbit Contest! Submit now or forever hold your lettuce! Many thanks to the entries already submitted!! It's going to be a tough race!
Today's Rabbit Movie speaks for itself. This movie documents Miss Zoe's first interactions with Her new friend Blueberry. It is like an anthropological study of sorts. A Tale (Tail) of Two Rabbits meeting for the first time. In the movie, you can see Miss Zoe making a valiant attempt to defend her Beloved Willow Chalet.
(Incidentally, Blueberry was not interested in taking Zoe's Chalet. Or storming it. Or anything else that would imply that She was trying to stage a coup of any sort. She is a Very Friendly and Nice Bunny.)
Without further interruption, then, I give you Zoe, Blueberry, and a cameo appearance by Miss Lilly in.... A Tale of Two Bunnies!!

The House of Double Buns
I'm sure you'll recall, at the end of Monday's post, a small mention of a RABBIT SURPRISE!
Who (in their right mind) does not want a RABBIT SURPRISE???
Well, I hope you're sitting down.
Are you sitting down?
OK, there. Thank you.
Here's the Big News: Miss Zoe has..... a house guest!!
Like Miss Zoe, this guest is a Rabbit. So far, She seems a little less Bossy than Miss Zoe (wait, did I say bossy? I think I meant something else...hmmmm......well, never mind).
Let me introduce to you...Zoe's new friend, Miss Blueberry!!
Blueberry belongs to a (human) friend who recently had a house fire. Blueberry needed a place to crash for a couple of days or weeks, and Miss Zoe, gracious hostess that She is, was happy to answer the call. So far, the Girls are getting along very well.
Zoe did not really feel like posing much with Blueberry. At least not right now. I think She wants Blueberry to get a bit of the Spotlight.
Miss Lilly, on the other hand, is happy to pose with her new friend:
And, again:
As you can see, Miss Lilly enjoys having someone else in the house who looks like her. She thinks that is pretty darn cool.
For those of you who aren't that familiar with Rabbits, Blueberry is a Dutch Rabbit. Zoe, though She came to us via the German Festival, is not Dutch, but a Mini Rex. They are pretty similarly sized, though Blueberry is a little bit larger. Also, their fur is a bit different to the touch.
As for me, it's like a dream come true. More Rabbits? Come on! Isn't that a dream come true?

On Friday, Miss Zoe will share the Spotlight once again in A Tale (or Tail) of Two Rabbits, Her newest film, starring (of course) Herself, and Her new friend Miss Blueberry. I'm pretty sure that you are already looking forward to that, aren't you?
Yes, we thought so.
In the meantime, Miss Zoe asks you to give a shout out to Miss Blueberry!!
And, while you're at it, give a shout out to one of Miss Zoe's favorite people, ASHLYN, who is celebrating Her 11th Birthday today!!! Happy Birthday, Ashlyn!! It's a Two Bun Salute!!!

Entry Number 3
Welcome to Monday!!
Here we are again, yes?
And, here we are, once again, with a new entrant into the Eat Like a Rabbit Contest!!!
Zoe enjoyed the email accompanying the photos enough to simply include it as today's post.
Enjoy!!
Dear Marcy and Miss Zoe,
I happened upon your blog sometime last fall and have not missed a post since. I am not exactly sure how I came upon it (since I often don’t pop back out of the same rabbit hole that I initially go down), but I was immediately charmed by the adorable Miss Zoe (who wouldn’t?) and her talented mom.
I too waited expectantly for the masses to undertake the “Eat Like a Rabbit” contest. It had not occurred to me to get involved. You see I am not naturally a competitive person - more the spectator type. But then I read today’s post and oh my, yes, well that look on dear Miss Zoe’s face was too much. The thought tapped at the back of my brain – Should I get participate? I pondered the requirements to undertake such a task.
Camera.
Rabbit ears.
Salad.
An easily accessible accomplice who is willing to drop everything, at anytime, to eat anything.
It was at that moment that I realized that I was, in fact, in possession of every one of those things! Oh dear, there was only one thing left to do – compete.
So, I present to you “Doodle Dog” who will “Eat Like a Rabbit”.
I wish that these photos could be accompanied by music like Miss Zoe’s videos. So instead, please just imagine some sort of mix between Smooth Jazz and Sesame Street. The attached photos are numbered 1-9. Which now seems like a lot of photos –feel free to edit. p.s. In case you were wondering - I am not Anonymous. As you can see, when it comes to constructing a sentence, I lack Anonymous’ SHEER ABSTRACT GENIUS!
Rebecca and Doodles (who is still waiting for dessert)
Zoe sends out Her thanks to Rebecca and Doodles for an EXCELLENT ENTRY!!!!
Keep sending your entries!
Make sure to tune in Wednesday fo A BIG RABBIT SURPRISE!!!!!
Hmmm....do you wonder what that means?
We thought you might.
