Monday?

Monday.

Lonely Monday.

So, for anyone who doesn't know, the Chick is gone to Massachusetts to Kripalu for YogaDance teacher training, Part II.

Sigh.

Miss Lilly sums up how we feel about this in the following picture:

Do you see? We are listless. Positively listless.

I mean, we will be fine. So far, we have baked bread. Also, we have worked on painting in the kitchen again. For anyone who missed the Chick's last trip for Part I of the Yoga Dance teacher training, while she was gone we painted the kitchen. Now we are taking it one step further, and decorating the painting. Does that make sense? If not, you'll see more on Wednesday. No worries.

Other than that, we are just sort of walking around. Looking at things. Emailing friends.

Noticing cuteness:

Not much that's cuter that THAT, you know?

I mean-- WOW!

We will be arting and writing. You'll hear all about it.

For now, if you can muster it, imagine some cuteness on our behalf. It will help us all make it through the week. I think.

What will you imagine?

Warning: Dancing Frog Ahead

It's something you don't see everyday.

A dancing frog, that is.

But, since the Chick is doing the YogaDance thing, who do you think needs to be the very first Pig of the Guinea Variety?

That's right. The Frog. In other words... ME!

Now, I am a Scotch-Irish Girl. I am a "let's drink too much and fight" kind of girl.

My hips don't shut the car door.

My ribs don't move separately from the rest of my body.

My neck doesn't move unless it's to shoot back a shot of something.

I am a white girl trapped in a white girl's body. I'm not smooth. I'm not fluid. There's nothing serpentine about me. In fact, I'm pretty darn choppy. Especially when compared to the Chick.

The Chick, on the other hand, is obviously filled with a gooey gel of some kind. When she was a baby being made in Heaven, God said to the Chick: "You don't belong in this bone line. You belong over there in the gooey gel line. Git!"

Sigh.

But that's OK. We had a great time anyhow. The music list we made absolutely rocked! And, since it was the very first run through, what ended up happening is that it turned into more of a planning session for the Chick, while I, the Frog of the non-dancing variety, ended up mostly sitting on the couchy taking notes and sipping a little of the homemade vino.

Sweet. That's more like it.

And Zoe? What was Zoe up to you ask?

She's not that much of a dancer either, but I think She enjoyed herself nonetheless. Watch here, as Miss Zoe Breaks It Down for you:

I mean, really. Just look at those killer moves!!

Doesn't it make you want to bust a move?

We thought it would.

Videofreitag!

Here in the fair city of Erie Pennsylvania, our summers are full of ethnic festivals.

Earlier in the summer, I showed you videos from the Russian Fest. We also have an Italian Fest, a Polish Fest, a Greek Fest, and Asian Fest, and a German Fest. Last weekend we had a Heritage Fest, which featured all of those and MORE, if you can believe that. Too bad I had to work, because I had looked forward to getting some footage from that one.

We have a delightfully diverse community here. And we like it that way.

Any excuse to party!

So, two weekends ago was the German Festival. I mentioned at some point that there was a video of me petting some Llamas while at the German Fest, and there were a few of you out there who were disappointed that Zoe and I didn't post that.

Here it is. Me with Them.

And, then there was some German Dancing. With Lederhosen. Of course.

Keep in mind, that 5 years ago, Miss Zoe came home with us from this very festival. So, in leiu of a Zoe video this week, take a moment to reflect on Zoe's Importance in your life. Be thankful that the Blisschick and I attend these Fests.

Where would you be now if we didn't? Where would you be without Miss Zoe?

Don't dwell on it. Just take a moment and move on. You could get stuck in the imaginings. It could be horrifying.

And, Happy Videofreitag!!
